Creating a 'Database Table'.

Step 1 :

Go to Tcode SE11.

you will see following Screen.

Select 'Database Table' Radio button on the Screen and Provide a 'Table name' (starting with 'Z' or 'Y' , here Table name is 'ZDbtable').



























Click on 'Create' button, then you will see a popup window, Select 'data element' and press 'Enter'.

Step 2 :




















  • Provide 'Short text'(description) about your Table.
  • Under 'Delivery and Maintenance' tab, Select the 'Delivery Class' from the list.
  • Select 'Data Browser/table view maintenance' from the List to control the Table for viewing and maintaining in the future.
  • Under 'Fields' tab, provide Table fields along with the 'Data Elements' Depending on your Requirement.      (Click here How to Create a 'Data Element').


  • If your Table is 'Client Dependent' then first field  should be "Mandt", Mandt field contains Client Information(ie. this table is Restricted to the Other Clients). Click here for more about Client Dependent/Client Independent Tables)
  • We cannot create a Table with out a Primary Key. Select the 'KEY' check box for at least one field of the Table (which is next to the field name). Primary KEY field should not contain duplicated Values.(Ex: there may be many employees with a name Raj but employee id will be unique so we can use the employee id as Primary Key field).  




















  • Now Click on 'Technical Settings' button. you will see a popup window like abobe.
  • Click on 'yes', then you will see below screen.























  • Click on 'Save' button.
  • Then you will find a Success Message 'Table Created Successfully'.
  • Press 'F3' button or to go back.
  • If you want to use the Created Object, it should be Activated.
  • Activate the Object press 'CTRL + F3' or Click on  Icon to activate the Object.










  • Select the Objects you want to activate and Press "Enter".
