Create/ Change/ Delete a 'Domain'

Creating a 'Domain'.

Step 1 :

Go to Tcode SE11.

you will see following Screen.

Select 'Domain' Radio button on the Screen and Provide a 'Domain name' (starting with 'Z' or 'Y' , here name of Domain is 'ZDomain').

Click on 'Create' button. then you will see following Screen.

Step 2 :

• Provide 'Short text'(description) about your Domain.
• Under 'Definition' tab, Select 'Data Type' by pressing 'F4' key and select the Data type you want from the list and Press 'Enter' button, by Default every Data type is assigned with a fixed size(Ex: for 'CHAR' data type it is '20'), if you want  you can make it more or less.

Step 3 :

• Now Click on 'SAVE' button. you will see a popup window like below.

• Provide 'Package' Name where we want to Save.(Click here - How to Create a Package).(or) If you want to store it on Local System then Click on 'Local Object'.

• Click on 'Save' button.
• Then you will find a Success Message 'Domain has been Created Successfully'.
• If you want to use the Created Object, it should be Activated.
• To Activate the Object press 'CTRL + F3' or Click on  Icon to activate the Object.
















• Select the created Object and  to Activate and Press "Enter".

Changing a 'Domain'.

Step 1 :

Go to Tcode SE11.

you will see following Screen.

Select 'Domain' Radio button on the Screen and Provide a 'Domain name'.(that you want to change , here name of Domain is 'ZDomain').

Click on 'Change' button. then you will see following Screen.

Step 2 :

• Change the Data Type and Size depending upon your Requirement.
• Click on 'Save' button.
• Then you will find a Success Message 'Domain Saved Successfully'.

Deleting a 'Domain'.

Go to Tcode SE11.

you will see following Screen.

• Select 'Domain' Radio button on the Screen and Provide a 'Domain name' (that you want to Delete , here name of Domain is 'ZDomain').
• Click on 'Delete '
  
  button. Then you will see following popup window.

• Click on 'Yes' button.
• Then you will find a Success Message 'Domain Deleted'.
